Who the hell thinks Campbell is ducking Maquez. Campbell EXPOSED the game GBP was playing, he wanted the fight as soon as possible.

Agreed, but I really wish he would stop ****ting on the ring belt. Just because Golden Boy owns it, it has nothing to do with the situation and Casamayor is the champion. If anything it should be 60-40 for Casamayor since Casamayor beat him before...

But....Campbell is the champion, and he's fighting better than I've ever seen him do before. Whereas Casamayor is on the downslide quite a bit. He was very lucky to have won his last fight by a very late KO;he was well behind.

Casamayor was either very badly managed from the beginning, or his own personality has hindered his career, because he was a top fighter, capable of beating anyone. I think the Corrales fights ruined him, like the Castillo fights did Corrales in. (particularly that overweight one which should have been cancelled)

why would he face Casamayor and get paid LESS instead of Marquez which most likely be a PPV? and at this point of his career what he more cares about IS the money... somethings fishy here...

Campbell should be more than happy with a 50/50 split. I know he's the champ but he doesn't bring anything (financially) to the table. Any other fight like involving Diaz, Casamayor, Marquez, or Katsidis would be more exciting and bring more money to the table.

I think its because Nate has 3 of the 4 belts is why 80/20, I could be wrong.

True and a poster mentioned that when it goes to purse bid it usually favors the champ but in the end campbell is not the attraction. Pac is not the champ but do you think he deserves to get paid less than david diaz? No way in hell. If at anytime campbell gets half of anything he should take it and run. If there is a rematch with juan diaz he should be happy he gets half in that scenario also.

Because Golden Boy was trying to screw him out of a fight with Pacquiao and make it so Juan Diaz fights him insted. They wanted Marquez-Campbell to be in November (when it could be in July) so that Pacquiao would have no one really to fight other then Diaz.

Campbell-Casamayor would be for all of the marbles at 135. Also with the purse bid, the money split would go in Campbell's favor.

The only reason GBP wanted Campbell-Marquez was to tie Campbell up in November so Campbell would be unavailable for the Pacquiao date in China. Golden Boy Promotions wants one of their fighters for that date. GBP knew that chances were that Campbell would be the front runner to challenge the winner of Pacquiao-Diaz, which would likely be Pacquiao. If GBP was serious about making Campbell-Marquez, they would have made it sooner rather than later.

Now Pacquiao-Campbell would make a lot more money for Campbell than a Marquez bout, who is coming off of a loss.

For ****s and giggles, I asked Campbell about a fight with Marquez. Here are some clips of what he said:

"If he thinks Pacquiao hurt him, I will crush him. I think the world of him as a fighter. I am the 135 pound king and I will handle myself as such.

"I'm a tremendous boxer when I choose to be. In the Diaz fight I showed that I can slug as well. Marquez can only fight one way. He has to box the perfect fight. He can't slip for a moment, he can't take one second off, he has to fight perfect every single second. That fight goes down any way I want it to go down. If he comes forward to me, I'm not one of these guys he can just have his way with. I'm a much better body puncher.

"Marquez doesn't want to fight me in November. Golden Boy wants me to fight me in November so they can have some kind of assurance that I won't be the one fighting Manny Pacquiao."
