The big one, for me, was Trinidad/Wright. Everybody thought I was bat**** crazy and that Winky was going to get knocked out. Made an assload of money on that one. Odds were beautiful. Nearly 3 to one against Wright when I made my bet.
Another was Tyson/Williams. That was obvious to me. Tyson had been done for years by then.
Don't recall others right now, but I'm usually on the money when I call one. I miss once in awhile, but not often on the tough calls, usually on the easy calls when there's a big upset....something I didn't think through well enough. Of course I don't count those times when I was right, and the judges were wrong. Lots of those.Comment

Yeah, I picked Calzaghe over Lacy too, but that can't really be called an upset. The only people actually picking Lacy to win were the idiots and Lacy fans. Most people thought Calzaghe would win a wide decision, though even I didn't think Joe would brutalize Jeff for all 12 rounds.Comment

My first actual points bet, on this forum, was Calzaghe/Kessler. I picked the winner, but got stiffed by the loudmouthed dane that bet me. So, I won't bother betting again. Not that I give a crap about the points, but I don't see any reason to bet if I don't get paid.Comment

I figured it would be a decision for Pavlik. He stays busy and has guts, and a workable chin. I never expected the KO, either. Honestly (sorry about this Kelly, if you read this), I never thought the kid was that heavy handed at all. He looks, to me, slow and feather fisted, but I guess he has a good follow through, because the kid sure gets the job done. Glad I was wrong, he's great entertainment.Comment
