Marty Servo (the only guy who was undefeated on SRRs record) beat him twice. (although the record books say he lost) You never hear of Servo being P4P best. He probably would of been if he didn't fight the much bigger Rocky Graziano who basically ended his career. SRR beat Graziano (like 10 years later)
Let me guess, is Oscar de la Hoya in your top 10 P4P ever?

What bothers me is that they never put in European fighters.

Europeans are dominating several weight classes, boxing is an international sport now, American fighters are fading.

I don't often say this, but you're an idiot. I apologize to everyone who was offended by my speech, but this is just the dumbest thing I have ever heard. This thread should be locked so we don't have to hear anything from this guy anymore.

American fighters have always been overrated and protected.

Funny you would say that since they spend countless hours and countless dollars making every possible effort to make it realistic.

It's settled then! de la Hoya is better than SRR.

Jimmy Doyle was killed with a Robinson left hook.

He was a top contender for the world title and had won 43 and only lost 7, he had fought 4 times in the last 6 months before the Robinson fight.

Doyle had actually suffered a career threatening head injury more than a year before against Artie Levine which almost ended his career but he decided to fight on...

Fighters back in the day fought the same fighters so many times because they could, Robinson fought 20 times in one year (1950), taking on all comers.
Ray Robinson fought more hall of famers than almost anyone aside from Henry Armstrong.

Even today Vasquez and Marquez are planning to fight for the fourth time.
Why? Because they can make the most money by fighting each other.

There is no footage of Robinson's fight with Marty Servo.

Sugar Ray Robinson in his 20th fight took on the undefeated future welterweight champion Servo and beat him by rather wide margins 7-2-1, 4-3-3, and 8-2, all for Robinson.
The next fight was closer, a split decision, which again went to Robinson by wide margins 6-3-1 & 9-1 on the judges scorecards although the referee scored it for Servo 5-3-2.
