Is Kessler making more money from Sartison or Miranda?

Even though Miranda seems a lot bigger, and sure does bring US exposure.

Im pretty sure with PPV and major ticket sales in Demark. Kessler will earn more than $1.2 million from this fight. Which is 3 times more than he would have earnt for fighting Miranda ($400 000).

    Can anyone clarify this?

He was going to make 600k for his fight with Miranda. That being said sartison didn't exist when he was negotiating with Pantera. That entire situation is fishy.

Kessler said he wants to fight for a belt not money.

True. But in Denamrk he would still clear $ 1 million easy. I would think.

Its a shame though a fight with Miranda offered so much more.

He was going to make more than $600,00 against Miranda.
Showtime/HBO alone were going to pay more than this, and then they had the rights for all European TV income.

Not really. Palle never tells about the purses when they fight in Denmark.

A little math will only do a little:

Brondby hallen holds 5,000 ppl with ticketprices on average 150 for an estimated gate of 750k.

Palle has no tv-agreement but could make about 50k PPV at 100 bucks which equals 5 mill. The 50k might be slightly optimistic.

If german and foreign television rights is estimated at 250K it all adds up to a revenue at 6 million usdollars.

From this you have to pay the fighters purses, expenses of location etc. I don't know what this might amount to, but it could mean about 1.5 million gross for Kessler.

If somebody can provide an estimate of the expenses we might be able to get a little closer.

In the end, he would have gotten massive TV exposure along with a good payday, which would mean bigger and better paydays in the future also.

This guy he is fighting is not offering anything. Sure he will grab an alphabet soup title, but what then? More defenses against lackluster opposition who build their records on dead bodies.

I think he would have made more money fighting Miranda that whoever he is fighting now, He would have been paid alot to fight Miranda and he would also sell more PPV back home in denmark in a fight with Miranda than whoever his fighting now.

Is his next fight on PPV?

I agree. I also think he would have made more money fighting Miranda. It's impossible standing on the outside looking in evaluating who ran away from what. Maybe Kessler overplayed his cards. Maybe Miranda already had Abraham lined up.

As to the risk/reward ratio; well this fight does look like a better option coming off the Calzaghe loss IMO.
