What? I have to like him because he has a great defense? I recognize his great defensive skills, but i have no interest in watching a fighter who covers up for the majority of a fight, while trying to jab his opponent to death. Then when he does attempt to throw a power punch, it looks as if it couldnt hurt my 13yr old sister.

No one said you have to like anyone. I just find it odd that boxing fans label guys like Floyd & Winky as "boring" because they don't slug it out like fighters such as Margs and Cotto. I would think that the majority of fans on here would appreciate defensive styles as much as offensive styles.

He should stay where he is, boxing is better without him. Being defensive is one thing, but Winky is just plain boring.

exactly. some people only like boxing for the KOs and the brawling, and thats fine

but theres a whole side of boxing thats about technical skill, and a bunch of fans that actually appreciate it, so if your not one of them stfu or go watch K1 or ufc

Winky's on his last legs so he better quit bitchin about money and start fightin before it's too late. I think he could still beat any of the titlists at 160, including Pavlik. If he could still make 154, which I doubt, I think he could beat Vernon too.
