"It's the economy ******!" To quote a famous US campaign phrase. My kids really wanted to get it but I wasn't trying to pay $55 bucks. A guy at a video store told me that he and a bunch of friends were going in together. And that's why the numbers are what they are. You guys are reading way too much into it. It has little to do with Floyd and more to do with the price of gas.

It's been standard practice for YEARS for people to club together to watch a PPV. At $50, it's far too much out of the average guy's pocket, especially when he would like to see whatever top fights are going, which may be more than a couple a month-which he cannot afford..

Fights like these used to be FREE, involving greater fighters, and paid for by the advertising, before they hit on "closed circuit" TV. Now the "big guys" get it both ways, from the fans AND from the advertising.

This should motivate PBF to stay away from extra-curricular bull**** and stick to doin his real job in the prize ring.

Hmmmmm.... I can make $5 million plus to show up for an hour without training or real risk of injury? And I get to promote my name in the meantime?
