drop in weight.. you PEOPLE KILL ME
You think that it doesnt play a role in cuts or swelling? seriously, here is a perfect example.
Gatti, prior to his fight with Micky Ward, he would cut swell and this would be early in fights, attributed to him blowing up to 170 in between fights and moving up and down in weight, example look at his fight with Hutchinson, cut over both eyes bad cuts, then the DLH beating, sure this is how Gatti looks and that is not my point.
my point is since rebounding and going down to 140 and picking up Buddy, he has not cut as much as in the past, he has not swell up as much as in the past, sure he did still swell and cut but nothing like prior to his fight with DLH.
so explain to me how Gatti suddenly didnt cut or swell as much during the Ward fights? that IMO was due to him keeping his weight in check cutting out the night life and fighting where he belonged.
then again its just my opinion, but I am not alone in this, Teddy Atlas also said the same **** during the fight with Hutchinson, Gatti simply had trouble keeping that weight in check.
now for DLH comming down to a weight he hasnt fought at in years, I aint saying that the weight was the only factor, I am saying its part of it, the other part is DLH's willingness to eat a shot or two in order to get his own in.

Forbes knew goin in he had to clearly dominate any ****in round he was gonna get from the judges. He didn't do that so he lost a blowout UD. He held his own and probably desrved a slightly better fate than the 12-0 or 11-1 scorecards he got, but people shoulda seen that **** comin in a fight against Oscar that Forbes was supposed to lose.

that's exactly right, nothing else can be said
