Any word on Clottey vs Berto??

I remember reading an article on here about the possible match-up between Clottey and Berto. Is there any information about this fight or was it just being talked about?

A little feedback would be appreciated!

Nothing confirmed, but don't be surprised if they do fight because Margarito is going to drop the IBF title when he fights Cotto, Clottey and Berto are the highest ranked contenders.

Berto is fighting on June 21st on HBO against Miguel Angel Rodriguez.

I looking forward to this fight. I say Clottey takes it in a hard fought decision.

Thanks...I'll be sure to check him out. Berto is growing and still learning. He is very talented. The only pet-peeve I have with him is that he get hit to much. Berto has a chance against the Elite fighters of the division but he needs to work on his head movement.

Berto always throws nice, hard punches. The kid has dynamite in his hands. LOL!

I agree with you both...Clottey is known for standing there and blocking shots...I dont think that will be a problem because once Berto swings he sometimes gets tagged. This will be a tough fight for either fighter and it will be entertaining IMO. I just cant see Berto beating the rugged Clottey. Hey, who knows...Berto might shock us all and pull it out.

He definitely has potential but as you said gets hit too much, especially with right hands.

Oh, and I pick Clottey by decision or late knockout.
