Actually he hurt his left hands right on the first round. He declared that in his interview. On the second round it started to bother him but he is still using it. On the third round on that instance you were mentioning, after hitting JMM with his left, the pain is already unbearable that's why he was shaking it. Reason why starting from the fourth round he is using his right which makes it easier for JMM to counter punch. It was obvious, JMM's corner was telling their fighter that Manny is not using his left hand so they were able to make the adjustments.
