Haye KO'ed by the resurrector of the heavyweights.

Odlanier Solis. Does the name ring a bell? He might be the saviour of heavyweight boxing. He was an outstanding amateur going 227-14, olympic gold in Athens and 3 times world champ.

As a pro he is 9-0 with 6 KOs. All of his opponents has a winning record and in his last fight he kayoed the 20-0 Mamuka Jikurashvili in Turkey.

He is 28 years old and might be the next great heavyweight. A rematch with David Haye looks certain down the line as Solis knocked Haye out in the final of the worls championships in Belfast in 2001. Solis is in blue:

He hardly knocked him out and Haye had Solis in big trouble with a more powerful shot.
This fight means nothing as to who will win as a pro as it was so long ago.
Both are good prospects although Solis seems to have conditioning problems.

Actually no. There was an article in a danish paper today about him. I must admit that I didn't know his pedigree as an amateur was this great and I didn't know that he hadn't faced any opponent with a loosing record.

I just feel that this guy should get more attention especially considering the attention David Haye is getting lately.

Haye deserves his attention for his achievements at cruiserweight after 23 fights

The only reason Solis is popular is because he's Cuban, that's the only reason.
