So if Cotto was worthy enough for Floyd to fight at 140 when he was still considered "green", how is he "unworthy" now, especially being that his stock, resume, and notoriety have grown since then?

Judging from the Gomez numbers..his stock hasn't risen by much..

At 140..Floyd was not in the driver's seat..

Cotto wanted no parts..


At 147..Floyd sits in the driver's seat..and he wants the Cotto fight to BUILD..

I wouldnt use Gomez as a measuring stick for Cotto's popularity. Take away Floyd's 2 fights against the most popular boxers in the world, with the biggest following in the world, and his ppv #'s arent too different from Cotto's.
