I can see Cotto fighting and beating them all, but the only way that Mayweather vs Cotto happens is if all of the following bouts happen and go to plan:

    Cotto beats Margarito,
Mayweather beats De La Hoya again,
    Cotto beats De La Hoya,
    Floyd beats Hatton again,

From Mayweather's perspective this is perfect. He gets huge paydays against big name opponents who claim they were unlucky in the first bout (De La Hoya thought he won, Hatton thought Cortez robbed him) knowing he will more than likely beat them again. Cotto makes himself a household name and damages himself at the same time by beating two tough opponents.

Mayweather is prepared to risk it all under these circumstances only.

That would be a sight to behold. He probably wouldn't KO any of them though if they fought. I'm not well versed in the careers of all three of the opponents but I think between them they've been stopped/off their feet a total of two times unless I'm missing some beatdown margarito got earlier on.

Agree with everthing you said, this is the way things will most likely unfold. That's a crazy ass mission for cotto to get thru. I'm giving margarito a great chance against cotto(though I still think cotto will pull it off) and i'm favoring oscar if cotto fights him.

Who was the opponent who knocked him? You also have to remember that magarito turned pro when he was 15 or so due to mexico's crappy amateur program.

one of them was against danny perez in 99 but he won the fight..i can't remember the other 2 kd's.

i don't hate margarito..i like his style of fighting but some of his fans are just like floyd fans even thou i get along with a lot of margaritos fans.

So with this post you fail to completely acknowledge the possibility that if Tony hits your boy with one of his hard overhand rights or uppercuts which Cotto LOOOOOVES to eat, he won't get knocked down 3 times as well? you are a ****ing joke pendejo, get the **** outta here pinche joto.
