This is not in anyway a diss to Margarito but more as respect to Forbes. He looked 10x better then I thought he would look at that weight. You can say that Oscar is older but Oscar still looked good and would still beat alot of top guys. My 2 worries for Forbes is that he did take a little bit of a beating by a bigger guy and sometimes guys do start to fade after losses. My other worry is that he seemed to really fade later in the fight which IMO was due to the weight and just being hit by a bigger man.
Still, he has very quick hands, is fundementally sound, has great D, an iron chin, and believes he can beat these guys. I really think he could give alot of those top WW's some problems. Everyone was dissing his pop but I actually thought he showed great pop last night for a small guy with only 9ko's. I think his power may be better then his KO percentage indicates or maybe he gains more power as he moves up in weight. Like Baldy has only a few KO's but he seems like a pretty solid puncher. I could see Forbes doing some of the same things to Margarito that Clottey did. Margarito's D is still iffy at times and Forbes is a good counter puncher. I also may would pick him to beat Cintron. He will definatly be even better at 147 then he was at 150 and should have more energy in the later rounds.
I could even see him giving guys like Zab, Mosley, and Quintana alot of trouble. I could be totally wrong but I was really impressed with him last night. Im not saying that he beats any of those guys but all of them would have to really work and I wouldnt be shocked if he beat more then one of them
