i doubt it. floyd's opponents normally have installed fanbases. im sure he can get atleast 14 k which would still be awesome. Oscar is a whole other animal. he's handsome.

For 25 dollars a ticket, probably.
But no, he is not as popular as Oscar.
Floyd could have got 400k buys against Forbes on PPV i bet.

no, no matter what, floyd doesn't draw crowds on his own............and i don't think dancing with the stars or WWE is going to make a change. exciting "fan friendly fights" are the only thing that can help him draw larger crowds, not his flashy this and that, or how much money his got stashed under his bed.............

The only fight that Floyd carried on his own name since becoming mainstream, was Baldomir. I believe he pulled in 11k at the gate.

Yeah, he could have at those ticket prices. That doesn't mean he is the same draw as DLH though. Oscar could have sold 200k at those prices if there was an arena big enough. Floyd would probably top out at about that 25k. Still, it is a strange question. There is absolutely no draw comparable to DLH. Everyone knows this. Floyd is the second biggest draw though, continually pulling big numbers with unknowns in the US on PPV. Being #2 doesn't necessarily mean you are anywhere near #1 though.

You guys have to remember that this fight was basically at Oscar's house and it was well known that he will definatly retire at the end of the year. Dont tell me that Floyd cant sell 25,000 in Grand Rapids at this stage of his career when they know he is definatly going to retire at the end of the year and its there last chance to catch him fighting at home

no, he wouldnt be able to do 25K in Grand Rapids. just like Hatton/Mayweather was supposed to break DLH/Mayweather in the states right?

i don't think that floyd could sell 25,000 tickets at grand rapids, especially the price that his fight tickets have been in the past, he lives here in vegas and can't do that.

you could put oscar in Johannesburg's south africa and he's probably sell more tickets than floyd.
