Although it does not ring true for all fighters, it does seem to be generally applicable IMO.
Have you noticed that every fighter is more dominant with either the straight right or the left hook? One of them is always considered the money punch (except in really strange cases like Ike Quartey).
The trend I have noticed is that usually, the more polished a fighter is, the more he seems to lean towards the straight right hand. Straight up "boxers", or even boxer-punchers seem to favor the right hand as their money punch moreso than the left hook. Usually the sluggers and pressure fighters seem to favor the left hook as their best punch.
Obviously there are exceptions, like the highly polished Miguel Cotto favoring the left hook, or the crazy as **** Ricardo Mayorga killing people with the right hand, but...
