    ***My Message For Charlie Zelenoff***

If anyone knows him make sure he sees this.

I seen your fight and your video you made after.

First of all that was a joke of a fight.

You got on a plane; flew across the country to fight for a good 2 mins or so.

Dont blame it on not being use to a crowd or anything like that. the truth is as soon as andrew hartley landed a clean punch you decided you didnt want to fight. You looked VERY surprised that andrew hit you.

What did you say to the ref, "hey; he's not supposed to hit me!"...or what?

You got spanked by a guy (at first) i thought had no business being paired with you based on his record and the fact he was knocked out every time.

During all your trash talking videos and videos of training i told you; repeatedly, "dont lean into those punches; keep your left hand up (you're not floyd and dont tuck your chin properly like him), keep your punches straighter; dont loop that left hook so much; etc. etc. etc." and you never responded to a THING i said...nor did you listen to anyone else here on their advice for you.

You slept on andrew; you seen his record and thought, "im going to knock him out in the first round" and i could very well see that happening but its not going to happen if you aren't trained properly.

The crowd wasnt the factor; im sure you were nervous but you lost because i dont think you've ever been hit flush before...it seemed okay until andrew landed a punch; then it seems like you didnt know how to react to it.

Apparently whoever is training you doesnt know what they're doing and obviously isnt getting you the sparring you need.

My advice is to NOT talk trash so much; focus on boxing more; get sparring in; take a couple punches and learn how to roll with them and react properly and not allow it to break you down.

and dont stand so wide; your balance was horrible with that wide stance.

So big deal; you lost a fight; it happens...but you will get the same result EVERYTIME if you dont make adjustments.

      damn right...

i need a job....maybe charlie should hire me to train him; i would for sure do it...

it beats working in the freezer (34 degrees below zero) for 8 hours a day at a grocery store...well i dont even have that job anymore but it beats getting it back...

i guarantee he would at least win his next 4 round fight.

his problems arent major; he just needs to change them and the trainer he has now only talks about how good he is...not what he needs to do to improve.

      frankpaganini for trainer!!!

Your right Frank he overlooked Hartley and he thought because of his record all he had to do was show up and throw a few punches and Andrew would go down. I don't really think he realized what it was going to be like in that ring even against somebody like Hartley. By the way he fought and acted it seems like he's never competed in anything competitive before. Because if you've competed in any type of sport for full season's you understand that it's more than just showing up.

Growing up I remember competing in contact sports like football and wrestling and there were these kids who thought they were tough ****, but had never competed in anything before and they would come out. Those kids would usually always quit after the first day or week.

Not everyone is ment to be a boxer, and Charlie wouldn't even be a decent one even if freddy roach was his trainer.

            Exactly.

As if all the talks of Oscar v. Strum (surrounding oscar v. forbes) wasnt a good enough of a hint...

That right there is proof that even a great of his generation cant just show up and think thats all you have to do.

so if a great of his era cant do it (oscar de la hoya) then a guy making his pro debut cant do it either.

I have to say cong**** to andrew though for sticking it out even with all his loses; it shows his dedication/heart and boxing needs people like him...he's not like guys we praise for heart like Arturo Gatti, or Jose Luis Castillo, MAB, JMM, etc. who get paid a ton of money; this is a guy in a small town fighting for little money; its purely love of the sport.

i agree with you...after the first solid punch that landed for hartley it seemed as if either zelenoff didnt want any part of it or he didnt know what do after getting hit. one or the other definately.

he never did have an amatuer background or anything like that so it was basically his first fight and his trainer didnt help him out i thought...

I think he could at the least be competitive.

I think the trainer did play a role in it (not taking it away from charlie; it was definately his fault too) he just praised charlie and agreed it would be a first round knockout and on and on and on but he never sat down with charlie and fixed the mistakes charlie made in training (leaning too much into the straight right; loop punches like the left hook; not keeping his left hand up; his stance being too wide; not tucking his chin in; etc.)

so if his trainer never pointed it out to him or helped him correct it then charlie was walking into the ring with that against him already.

i think he and his trainer believed it would be a walk in the park and judging by the training it looks like they showed up and went through the motions everyday instead of working hard.

i seen him sparring in a video; he wasnt pushed hard at all...

the sparring partner didnt even push him in anyway...he just would lift up his left to almost "pretend" he was jabbing charlie and charlie would land a punch or two...

charlie should have been worked harder in training and his technical problems should have been addressed and solved.

this is why i say he needs a new trainer...

              someone that makes charlie improve...

                  Thank you.

                  Im really serious here...

I bet if i cant guide him to a win at least he can hear the decision being read at the end of the 4 rounds...

instead of the end of 1 round.

                  Hartley v. Zelenoff II...in december

with someone decent to train him.

                  same outcome or not?
