Something to think about ...

Oscar did look better than he has in a good while, YES....One thing to think about it, though...if Oscar comes with a new plan and a new look, a new desire...Floyd will too. And BELIEVE THIS....with the father in Oscar's corner Floyd will come out with a never seen before desire to win BIG. He will want to no tonly win big but he will want to win with his style all the way, he will want to show -and brag about it after- that his father doesnt have the Kryptonite
I hope your right, I hope Floyd comes in there with that mind set, simply because that mind set favors De La Hoya and will only help Oscar in the fight. I hear what your saying but I doubt Floyd will change his style he will not suddenly become the come forward aggressor that so many of you dream of.
Floyd will try to win it more clearly by being more defensive by boring the fans to sleep that is Floyd Mayweather lets not forget that there is no way I suddenly see him turning into Edison Miranda for the rematch.Comment

Yep. The high gloves, "catching" technique that Manny had him doing is probably his best bet.Comment

Do I think he is in the class of Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, Roy Jones or Mayweather? No. I feel he failed to capitalize on a lot of opportunities (Whitaker, Quartey, Mosley) to separate himself from the pack in class as a fighter, not just as a celebrity.
It's the difference between an exceptional student and a genius.
There hasn't been that magic in his career, that special something that enabled Ray Leonard to triumph over Marvin Hagler and Hearns when he wasn't supposed to. That special something that enabled Ray Robinson to turn back much younger, stronger foes well past his prime, such as Fullmer and Basilio.
Is he a Hall of Famer? First ballot, without a doubt.
Oscar's acclaim as a fighter will never catch up to his celebrity.Comment

I disagree. I felt Oscar was testing Forbes every so often to see if he could get rid of him but Forbes was able to weather the storm, make him miss and do enough to raise his stock in defeat.Bumps and bruises dont score fights, Honestly when DLH fought Floyd last time Oscar looked like he didnt get hit after the fight was over, and you all are saying that we saw a better DLH last night.
so if anything we cant really make a solid prediction here just because forbes landed a couple good shots that left bruising on the face of DLH, that is just crazy to do.
Look DLH stated he hurt his left hand last night, not saying that its an excuse but it sure is one that the mayweather fans have used time and time again so I am sure they know exactly what DLH means when he says he hurt his left hand.
with that injury that Oscar said happend in the 4th, he was still able to win basicly every single round, Forbes is smaller and dosent hit as hard, yes we know, but I also beleive that Oscar was not there to try and hurt Stevie, I think he really wanted to see if he could go 12 with out fading at this weight, and especially at his age and at this weight.
What Forbes did best was make DLH miss. When you do that to DLH, it disrupts his rhythm and then he has to restart. Forbes' defensive prowess enabled him to steal moments in that fight.Comment

That was biggest piece of gibberish I have ever read.I disagree. I felt Oscar was testing Forbes every so often to see if he could get rid of him but Forbes was able to weather the storm, make him miss and do enough to raise his stock in defeat.

Do you have any idea what you are saying or do you just throw out catch words?
I can do it too!
Steve Forbes used his lateral movement to confuse Oscar! Oscars was popping his probe in Forbes face to blind his vision! You seriously remind me of that episode of South Park where Cartman tried to get Family Guy taken off the air. Do you write with idea balls?
If you aim to specialize in vagaries, you are doing a great job. If you want to actually write about boxing, you need some serious work. You lack that special "something".
I don't mean any disrespect, but the way you criticize fighters when you clearly lack understanding of the game is sickening.Comment

And Roth gave the 12th to Mayweather...Kazmarec gave the 10th to DLH. What a joke that was.
I think what we have to do to even get a glimpse at the rematch is take what Forbes did last night, and magnify that by about 10. And throw some extra maneuvers and tricks in there. That Forbes right hand in the 12th? It was there all night. He was just busy gluing his right glove to his chin because of that DLH left hook. Mayweather won't be as gracious when it comes to those countering opportunities.Comment

NO no no...you misunderstand my meaning...I believe Floyd will come with the patended MAYWEATHER STYLE...the one his father taught him...the one he will try to prove his father cannot decodeI hope your right, I hope Floyd comes in there with that mind set, simply because that mind set favors De La Hoya and will only help Oscar in the fight.
