Timid: lacking in boldness OR determination. He wasn't lacking in determination, but it's not exactly BOLD to wait for the moment to strike. Therefore, it was a bit timid. There's nothing wrong with that. Obviously, he WON. But, he was timid.
Technical and timid are different things. BUt he was both, not one or the other. Against Gatti, he was technical, but WASN'T timid. Against De La Hoya, he was technical and but timid at the start. Against Hatton, he was a bit timid. You act as if waiting someone out is a bad thing or something. It's not an insult, it's simply the case.
