I would've liked to see him work the body more and I still think the shoulder roll defense that Floyd Sr. introduced to him is wrong for him.

Forbes did a much better job than I expected him to do in the fight and I thing he's going to be trouble for anyone down at 140.
Oscar is a natural southpaw, he will never be comfortable rolling to his right. It just won't happen.

Body punching - Oscar's body shots were much crisper and harder tonight than at any time I can remember in his career.

Combinations - Oscar brought back his old combination punching style.

Jab - Oscar brought the jab back in force tonight. It looked really really good. Nobody in boxing has a better jab than Oscar.

      ...
He definitely made a point of utilizing his jab, but there were also noticeable gaps in the middle and late rounds. It could be a lack of respect for Forbes' ability to hurt him, but, on numerous occassions, Oscar just waded his way in without jabbing.

And Oscar hardly has the best jab in boxing right now. It's very good when he uses it, but the best? Come on...

The rest of your post is more or less agreeable. I thought he may have looked a little soft, physique-wise. If I were him, I'd be right back in the gym on Monday, getting ready for Floyd - assuming he actually wants a legitimate shot at winning.

Yeah, he had his best success on defense when he kept both hands up.

that last punch definitely threw him off balance. ODLH didn't even see it, he definitely was hurt or buckled. The way you guys talk about floyd is ridiculous. He doesn't have the power of most of ODLH opponents(Quartey,Trinidad,Vargas on roids,Mayorga,Chavez,Sturm,B-hop).

yea i thought the same thing. Oscar will get treated the 2nd time around vs PBF. Having Sr in his corner didnt do much I think he looked the same as when he fought PBF the 1st time. Oscar will get whopped by any of the top 3 WW.He better think twice about wanting to fight Cotto in december.
