A careful study was made by all the sanctioning bodies before championship fights were reduced from fifteen to twelve rounds. I am sure there is a rational explanation to this. Whatever that reason/s is/are, it must have been a very compelling reason or reasons for they all agree that twelve rounds are enough.

WELL SAID,THAT IS WHAT I HAD IN MIND. ALTHOUGH IN THE FUTURE THEY MIGHT WANT TO MAKE CERTAIN BLOCKBUSTER FIGHTS 15 ROUNDS. THAT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME AT ALL. I DONT THINK THAT WOULD A BAD MARKETING IDEA. THEY SHOULD MAKE THE HEAVYWEIGHTS RIGHT NOW FIGHT LIKE 6 ROUNDS,MAYBE THAT WAY THEY CAN BE AS EXCITING AS THE OTHER WEIGHT CLASSES.

i think today's fights are 12 rounders for a reason, if we had 15 round fights we'd see guys falling over each other from exhaustion. People just aren't as tough as they used to be, it's part of evolution
