WELL SAID,THAT IS WHAT I HAD IN MIND. ALTHOUGH IN THE FUTURE THEY MIGHT WANT TO MAKE CERTAIN BLOCKBUSTER FIGHTS 15 ROUNDS. THAT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME AT ALL. I DONT THINK THAT WOULD A BAD MARKETING IDEA. THEY SHOULD MAKE THE HEAVYWEIGHTS RIGHT NOW FIGHT LIKE 6 ROUNDS,MAYBE THAT WAY THEY CAN BE AS EXCITING AS THE OTHER WEIGHT CLASSES.

i think today's fights are 12 rounders for a reason, if we had 15 round fights we'd see guys falling over each other from exhaustion. People just aren't as tough as they used to be, it's part of evolution

Does Randall "Tex" Cobb vs Larry Holmes ring a bell? This was the fight that caused Howard Cosell to retire from calling boxing matches and probably put the last nail in the coffin of 15 round fights.
