Mormeck and Enzo where successful fighting as Cruiserweights because there were no GREAT fighters out there so they fought each other. Haye beat the Cruiserweights but all this talk about him dominating guys 20-30 lbs heavier is plain outlandish!! He is a media generated fighter who as a heavyweight would be lucky to be in the top 10 and believe me would have been stopped a lot more times than once. Keep in mind quite a few wins he had as Cruiserweight against so so opposition were in doubt before he won by knock out. The media is giving the impression this guy dominated every round he has fought and that's not the case he has been in trouble on numerous occasions against smaller guys which he managed to pull out by knocking out the opponant. The problem is when he hits a physically larger guy he won't have the same effect and the punches he'll receive will be harder than he's used to receiving. Say what you want about Haye but his chin against smaller guys is questionable, his stamina is certainly questionable at crusierweight and adding weight will only compound the problem because his speed will be affected. I understand the challenge since it would be a big money fight but that doesn't change the fact he doesn't deserve it nor is it likely he'll win it. If it happens I predict he'll be knocked out and do what Hatton did. Take the money and run back to his own weight division. As I've said before there's a reason why he hasn't campaigned as a Heavyweight, the fights would be harder and his own management knew that he'd be more successful fighting smaller guys and why they DON'T want a tune up before fighting VLAD
Haye can easily make 220lb Hatton was small for a JWW where as Haye is very big for a cruiserweight. What fights was he struggling in before getting KO's Other than the thompson and mock fights which where very early in his career he has only had 1 real tough fight and that was against mormeck who is a very good fighter. Anyone who has watched haye over the years will know that he has come on along way in the last few years. You are also wrong about Haye not wanting a tune up as he has said he will 2 fights before fighting Wlad unless another title fights comes up sooner. And many fighters from lower weight classes have gone straight into title fights Spinks and RJJ are recent examples. The Haye hate is annoying now I preferred it a year or 2 ago when only a few of use posted about Haye.

Just because Haye will be moving up doesn’t mean all his power will go guys like Dempsey, Patterson, Tyson etc were big punchers but were not massive.
we have to wait and see and by rubbishing Haye at this point could make you look very ****** in a few years time.

All proof that no matter how good you are at one weight, that means nothing when you move up.

That statement is just proof you don't know **** about DAvid Haye.

He spars with heavyweights, he's fought at heavyweight before. He has an amateur pedigree at heavyweight and he hits like a mule kicks.

Make no mistake he's the real deal. It's all about whether he gets caught regularly against slower fighters. Which he shouldnt

New to the site and thought it about time I posted something rather than just lurking!

I reckon Wlad KO in mid to later rounds, but I would love to see him KO him in round one to curb some of that attitude he has!!!

Quite a few ATGs on that list.

You're not comparing Haye to them are you?

Most of the rest were just moving up a few pounds, a far cry from the big jump these days from CW to the giant HWs.

Even Holyfield in his prime struggle with large HWs like Rid**** Bowe.

Moorer got knocked out by a 45 year old man.

Charles was probably the greatest LHW that ever lived, but got stopped at HW by Walcott and Marciano, and HWs were tiny back in those days.

Haye is essentially making a 40 pound jump up in weight, and if his chin wasn't that great at CW, how bad is it going to be at HW?
