Barrera, Morales, Vazquez, Marquez should never be in these types of list. You guys are basically saying that Erik Morales's ring IQ is equivalent to that go Gatti's. All these dudes I listed can and HAVE boxed.
Boxers that aren't so much Boxers but Fighters

That's why I said Morales could box really well but loved to fight for the most part.Comment

I'm surprised nobody named Mr. Ricardo Mayorga yet.
That dude is the furthest thing from a boxer.Comment

I'm not refering to that, i'm talking about the fighters that enjoyed it that loved to fight. That were adored even if they lost. It just so happens that most of them have a low boxing IQ but as i stated there are exceptions.Comment

I think of Pacquiao as a fighter over boxer. His version of a jab involves him trying to knock you out with it. He always prefers to trade and go all out over sitting around and boxing you. But he has shown some wicked boxing tricks on the inside in the past, but all are to do serious damage and usually lead into him bombing on you afew seconds later.Comment

Hagler was first and foremost a boxer.
Gattt is a guy who would try to box and forget all about the boxing once he got tagged.
Some other guys though, they were first and foremost sluggers because they had to be. Guys like Frazier, Marciano.
Corrales. People talked about how he should use his height and reach, but he was at his best on the inside, and would much rather fight that way regardless.
A guy I used to workout with at the gym, who used to be a pro, met Corrales early in his career. He asked Chico why he didn't box from the outside more with the dimensions he has.
Chico replied:
"I like knocking mother****ers out"Comment
