We are all entitled to our opinions, Cotto is good, but too too slow for Floyd, he could finish Mosley and actually stayed away from Mosley in the later rounds, because he was winded and because he felt Mosley's power....I really don't know why you think Cotto would destroy Floyd "very fast"..... Floyd is no Alphonso Gomez, let's see Cotto take care of Margarito, before we start making bold statemenst such as the one you made. Again, I'm not Bashing Cotto, I just feel that Floyd would throw him a boxing lesson and punish him, bottom line is COTTO is TOO SOW!!!

SOUNDS LIKE COTTO HAS NEVER FACE SPEED BOXERS? AINT JUDAH FASTER THAN FLOYD AND FLOYD OUTBOXHIM? DIDN'T COTTO DESTROY JUDAH? SPEED IS NOT ALL IN BOXING AND THE OVERALL ABILITY OF COTTO IS SUPERIOR TO FLOYD'S!

Exactly, Floyd fans themselves aruged that Judah is faster than Floyd, and so was Mosley this was prior to the Cotto Mosley and just before Judah Mayweather. I am sure they would like to change their opinions on that now becuase they are using the Speed arguement, then they will use the defense arguement, which is really the only arguement to be made for Floyd.

Judah and Mosley are different types of "fast" from Floyd. Their entire careers, we have seen mosley and Judah get hit with hard shots. How many times have you seen PBF eat hard leather?

Floyd's overall speed is a notch above those other guys. Floyd's timing and accuracy make him faster than Judah. Once he adjusted, he was countering Judah at will. And his speed is more than just hand and footspeed. Do you remember how Gatti was saying that Floyd's upper-body movement is very fast also?

Cotto is an excellent fighter. I disagree that he is superior to Floyd. But I VERY much want to see the fight play out.

              .

Good logical post! However I will explain why you dont see Floyd eat as much leather, Floyd doesnt take the risk that those two fighters have, Mosley and Judah to their credit have always been willing to stick their nose in there and trade shot for shot if it came down to it.
Floyd has never shown that, after 9 straight rounds of dominating Baldimor (who cant punch his way through a wet paper bag) Somehow Floyd didnt even want to risk going inside there and testing the waters to see if he could get Baldimor out of there. this is a guy who has very few knock outs on his record.
bottom line is the only arguement you can make for Floyd is his defense, his speed and power been there done that as far as Cotto and Margarito are concerned, Defense is the only logical advantage Floyd has in those fights.
Now I am not knocking Defense, but you cant always win a fight being in a defensive position you do have to fight, Margarito and Cottos style I beleive will make Floyd fight.
I beleive that if Floyd fights Cotto he wins but wins it in a war, if he fights Margarito, I think the pressure of Margarito will be too much for Floyd in the later rounds, and you wont see much counter punching comming back from Floyd he will be in a shell trying for the love of god not to get knocked out.

The ULTIMATE, "YES MAN, " speaks again. I always wondered what happened to MC Hammer's partner, Too Big MC... Now I Know, he follows Mayweather around spewing the same type of banter that he did when he was Hammer's do boy...

A MUCH bigger Vernon Forrest pounded on Baldomir for 12 rounds and never hurt him. It was probably a wise choice on mayweather's part, considering the dollars that he had on the table to face Oscar.

I agree that Baldomir is not a big puncher. But he hurt Judah twice, and he crushed Gatti. So his offensive game isn't as bad as you say.

As "defensive" as you may say that FMJ is, his record indicates some pretty good stoppages and knockdowns. He does a good job of balancing the O and the D.

Judah was on his way to being stopped. That is why he threw the nut punch on Floyd.

Ellerbee's declaration that Mayweather will knock out Oscar is like Hopkins saying that he'll knock out Calzaghe (or vice-versa). Just PR talk.

Has anyone noticed the extremely condescending way that Mayweather speaks of Cotto's quality?? Like looking down on him from a height......not very nice.
