does watching boxing cure your sadness, nerves, depression?

reason for this thread is that i remebered something from the past, and feel like **** now.

anyway long ago i discovered that watching boxing kinda calms me down and puts me into a whole different world.

i just wanted to know whether other boxing fans feel alike. for me it's an escape. we all have ****ty days when we feel down, because of some arguement, maybe a relationship break up, someone passing etc.

boxing takes it all away from me, because when i watch 2 fighters square off in the ring, i feel their pain, i watch someone get knocked down, then get up and fight on through adversity with odds stacked against them. outlasting themselves, willing to go on when feeling they should stay down. put their souls out

somehow the pain i feel dissapears, because after a tough fight 2 gladiators send a message to my head like an electric shock, that no matter how much it hurts, you must go on and be oblivious to all the hurt.

discuss and if you have, one fight in particular, explain exactly what it is about it that makes you feel alive again.

Yes. After having a boring day at work, watching boxing cheers me up and makes me feel better.

It's a healthier way of dealing with being bored with life (a healthier escape) than using drugs or getting drunk IMO.

depends we all favourites. If they lose it's ****in depressing because it's not like football or American football or whatever when there is always another game. If one of your favourites loses thats it, he's not fighting again for ages.

HAHHAHA, that's why you my boy baller, yes sir indeed it does do a great recovery work. Great stuff

but for real it is something of a getaway. somehow watching 2 men fight with their emotions, it just makes you feel like you not alone, and indeed when you down it's time to get up before the count reaches 10. that's why i love fighters and what they represent, and i love boxing.

Yes, especially when I watch a Tye Fields fight. I watch his fights for inspiration; his two-ton left hook makes me in awe and it magically cures any sickness I had.

good point, i hate to see fights where one of my favourites looses, even if it's a rerun of an old fight, brings back ****ty memories. but i meant like watching a fight where the winnner has his hand raised, and the outcome is just as expected. i feel happy for the fighter just as much as he feels happy for winning. it's a good moment to witness

That's how we know who the real doctor is, Vitali hides behind that moniker "Doctor", the bastard doesnt know that it's Tye's job to raise the spirits of us mortals
