I'm glad it's happening though. I was pissed because I bought my tickets when I thought Linares was going to be on the card and then I come to find out he got pulled off of it at some point. At least I get to see one advanced up and comer instead of a bunch of guys with less than 10 fights and club fighters.

It's still a weak card though.

Golden Boy Undercards are always pretty weak. At least Ortiz will be salvaging that crappy undercard, good to see him back in action, I love that kid.

Most undercards are weak. I know Top Rank has some writers on payroll who say they put on strong cards, but I don't see it there either.

The only time I really feel like I didn't get jipped with the undercard is when I go to a small show with a bunch of prospects and no true headliner. At that point I know I'm just there to see up and comers. If it's a title fight they don't want to pay enough to put a good show together.

of course it wont be on HBO...

          because they suck...

its going to be like hatton v. castillo or (most recently) calzaghe v. hopkins.

its going to be from 7PM to 8:30PM (Pacific time)...

its going to be a little video that lasts 15minutes or so about each fighter then back to the live arena where the ringwalks and formal introductions will be; probably the national anthem...then the live fight (main event only) and thats basically it...other than the post fight interviews and such.

i WISH we got to see an undercard or two since i dont expect the main event to be very competitive...forbes will definately be game; and show tons of heart but lets face it; oscar is going to burry him.

so i would have liked to have seen a competitive undercard or two to make it more worthwhile.

on a side note the last ppv that had good undercards (in my opinion) was cotto v. mosley...

they had quite a few names on the undercard AS WELL as prospects...

but most fights were 1 rounds ko's which i thought was kind of funny (including victor ortiz)

oh i forgot about mayorga v. vargas...

the feliciano v. cintron fight on the undercard was very good...nice little war to get the main event pumped up.

but generally the undercards ARE weak...so it doesnt steal the main event's spotlight away...i remember the undercards for oscar v. floyd I...that undercard was terrible...i was hoping each fight would end in 1 round ko's to get the main event going...

we get screwed a lot of times with PPV undercards...however mosley v. judah looks to have a very solid lineup of fights...

Top Rank has the best ppv cards.

Top Rank and King consistently put on better undercards than Golden Boy. GBP also usually overprices their tickets.

Who? I don't see how this even matters. Oscar knows he can't get a PPV with Forbes so he did this for free and is now desperate to get people on the card that locals might want just to get people to see him.
