Floyd Mayweather Jr Has a Message For BoxingScene.com

I was with Floyd at the after party for the annual dinner of the Boxing Writers Association of America in LA. Floyd picked up the fighter of the year award for 2007. He said that he loves the forum of fight fans at BoxingScene and considers it the best boxing community on the internet.

He does come on to read the forums from time to time to see what people are saying on the streets. Ellerbe is a more frequent reader and does pass on any information to Floyd.

He knows there are people who don't like him and those who love him, but either way he knows that his name is being kept out there by fans of the sport.

We spoke about a few different things. He said De La Hoya is never making it to his third fight in December and he gives Forbes a much bigger chance to win than the 18-1 odds would indicate.

Good to hear that Floyd at least cares somewhat what the fans think, pretty ****ing cool that the best fighter in the world takes a look at this forum.
