By Jake Donovan - The quote is nearly four centuries, yet rings just as true today. As Team Guzman has learned through the years, it's almost always the case when they are forced to deal with UK-based promoter Frank Warren. [details]

Oh dear.
Jake, are you a mouthpiece for Guzman's camp or do you have a mind of your own because this isn't the first time you've posted mindless rubbish on here masquerading as fact.
I don't know if you think Scotland is some murky backwater in the middle of nowhere but I assure you it is a bit more than that and the propaganda you are publishing is as insulting to natives like me as it is ridiculous to those who value common sense.
We all have our favourites, but come on, this is beyond the pale.Comment

WTF does THIS mindless rubbish have to do with the point of the article? The only references I made to Scotland were:Oh dear.

- specifying where the fight will take place
- using the term "Scot" to describe Alex Arthur and, later, Scott Harrison
Unless Frank Warren is Scottish AND is being accused of reprenting your nation as a whole, then it's suffice to say that you're way outta your element on this one, homey - and also gives reason to believe that you didn't even read the article.Comment

Haha, what the hell are you talking about bro? Is it happy hour out there in Scotland?Oh dear.

Who on earth leaves it so late that a visa can only be completed 9 days before the fight at the earliest? Guzman's management should be shot. What if it gets further delayed? These things should be sorted months in advance - they've had long enough.
Wouldn't surprise me if Warren is using it to his advantage though.Comment

@SHB,
What are you talkin about? From the article it sounds like everything was fine and the only issue was they had to take a later plane. They were scheduled to arrive in Scotland 9 days before the fight, which is plenty of time.
Plus, the whole injury report being taken down only a few hours later on the site is su****ious.
I see no reason why the fight would have to be delayed, especially since team Guzman NEVER ASKED FOR IT TO BE DELAYED.Comment

this isn't unreasonable, though stuff like this happens all the time. there have been several fights in the states postponed or even cancelled due to fighters' inability to go to and from Mexico due to such unforeseen delays.
exactly. that's the part that bugs me, that every step of the way, it's been a different reason to lobby for the WBO to strip Guzman, or to **** with his career.Wouldn't surprise me if Warren is using it to his advantage though.Comment
