The fanbase for horse racing is fading a lot faster than the one for boxing. How many pro boxers do you think will be attending the Kentucky Derby on Saturday? If you don't count local prelim guys, the over/under on that would be 1.
it's all marketing...he's trying to pick up the fans or non fans that he either lost or never had for his next 2 big fights. He put himself in front of an easy oppenent so he can show people that he's for real. It's all marketing. Has nothing to do with ****ing horse racing.
not because Oscar wanted to give Fans a free Show...this is the truth. Because the was the only slot available for OSCAR before floyd jr fight and he wanted a tune up and if they put the fight on PPV it wouldnt do well against the kentucky derby which is a huge ******** and festive american tradition...
just like Hopkins vs Calzaghe was on the Same day of a UFC ppv...so they just put it on Free HBO instead so they wouldn;t compete for buys...if they put the fight on ppv it would only do 100,000 buys because everyone would of ordered the ufc.
Sure it was because of the Kentucky derby, every single one of us have been waiting all this time to see the Kentucky ****ing derby get real the reason this isnt on PPV is becuase this isnt a PPV fight that will sell Oscar has no title and who the **** is he fighting again?
