Anybody still interested in a bout between Williams & Cotto in da near future??

I remember ppl saying that Cotto & Williams should fight to decide who fights Floyd for the WW title, when they both were undefeated. All that ended when my guy P-dub lost his 0 and was exposed by Quintana. I still would like to see Williams vs Cotto in the future after Cotto handles his business with OSCAR & FLOYD.

I think Williams vs Cotto would be an interesting match-up anybody else??

i would like to see it also.

Margarito and Williams have a style that i think will cause mayweather huge problems. based on punch output and size.

it would be very interesting. and i would be cheering for Mayweather but i dont know if he would win against either 2.

Not particularly. In my mind, Quintana showed us that counterpunching is Williams's kryptonite.

Does anyone think Quintana is a better counterpuncher than Cotto? Really?

Cotto can counterpunch with the best.

I believe after the Margarito fight Cotto doesn't have to prove he is worthy of fighting PBF.

So with that said I would prefer some other more interesting matches for Cotto's next couple of fights after Margarito when/if he wins.

          What I would prefer:
1)PBF but would only be possible if a) DLH loses to Forbes b) if PBF agree's
2)Margarito rematch depending on how exciting and competitive the first fight is.
          3) Mosley II if he beats Judah impressively
          4) Williams/Quintana winner
          5) Clottey, would really like to see these guys go at it since I believe stylisticly it would be exciting.

Cotto has a shaky chin....and isnt a south paw and hes not as slick as Quitana.

I can't imagine that Williams's lack of power breaks Cotto's chin.

The slickness doesn't matter either... he is better at seeing the openings IMO, which is what makes him such a great counterpuncher.

Cotto was buzzed by Gomez...Williams is no feather fist.

I still think he throws to much for Cotto..Quitana moves around wayyy more then Cotto....Quitana actually was giving Cotto a good scrap for a minute.

I agree for the most part. Mosley II would be a beat down though, that is if we are thinking about a year/year and a half time frame.

I think Cotto would work Clottey over. Clottey's lack of ability to turn defense to offense would be his undoing.

Margarito and Mayweather are the best fights for Cotto. A Williams match would be funny just because of the difference in physical stature.
