Yep, and that's why it will do so good.

I aint going to lie, I will be ordering this fight. and I agree this fight will do better than expected though I doubt it will reach the same numbers as the first fight simply becuase of the outcome of the first fight, I think alot of De La Hoya supporters who felt the fight should have gone the other way, will be turned off to the fight as a result.
What sells this fight IMO, is the drama of the Mayweathers all together, Father with Oscar and Uncle with Jr. if that dont sell nothing will I think Oscar knew if he had Sr the first time around and lost the first time around, there really wouldnt be the drama that is much needed to hype a rematch, instead he took roach and saved Sr knowing that having Sr, will only help promote this event.
its very smart of both De La Hoya and Mayweather Jr. you cant sit there and tell me that since the first fight, Floyd will be bringing crossover fans from Wrestling, Bass tourneys and from indy events, I highley doubt those fans who saw a few seconds of him got to know him well enough to want to order this fight.
Sorry but common sense tells you that those kind of fans just do not seem like the type to cross over into the sport of boxing. maybe a small hand full but beleive this will still be Oscars fan base in vegas.
But I do agree it will be a record high PPV not the biggest event but pretty close.

I marvel at Mayweather's skills in the ring. I've been following the kid since I first saw him against Tony Pep at Jr. Lightweight. You can call me a bonafide Mayweather fan.

However, I rarely talk about the guy or make threads about his greatness. Strangely enough, it's the people that say they hate him that continue to talk about him endlessly, day after tired day.

From youtube to maxboxing to boxingscene to ufc to wwe, etc... everybody (supposedly) hates Mayweather.

What most of these people don't understand is that negative publicity is still publicity. It gives him attention, visibility and power.

When he fights DLH in September, it will be the highest grossing fight ever.

He has too many haters for it not to be. All these people talking boycott are basically love struck, heart broken, stalkers that will support their man (money may) at any and all costs.

Hate and Love are interchangable emotions. You can't have one without the other. Remember that.

For all you guys creating threads and threads about 'Gayweather' and all the boxing insiders calling him a joke and all the UFC guys calling him a *****... guess what????

          MAYWEATHER OWNS YOU!
this gentlemen speaks volumes of wisdom...

Look, I don't know anyone outside the Church of Mayweather who's anticipating this fight. Casual fans who watched this fight due to the hype were bored beyond belief and won't watch the rematch. The only real buys this fight will generate is diehard DLH fans who continue to support him, but even that number has dwindled...

I won't buy it ... SOPCAST! it is not worth buying. I'll watch the first few rounds judge what fight it might turn out to be and see whether i want to see the rest of it. BUT I SURE AS HELL AIN'T BUYING IT.

                      That could be pretty accurate...

I think Sr. is gonna be a huge factor in the RE-interest for this fight.
