Naseem Hamed, all that talent and he threw it away, not just in quitting after the barrera fight, apparently he stopped training properly 3 or 4 fights before that.

Apart from his fight with Cotto he has never shown much fighting spirit. When i watch him I get the impression as soon as the going gets tough he doesn't want to know!

He is so fustrating because you can look at him sometimes and he looks simply amazing (early rounds against Floyd and Cotto, Second Spinks fight). If he had reached his potential He would ba a multi divisional champ and possible ATG! IMO....

I also agree that he needs a big Win over Mosley. however so does Sugar Shane so it should be a good fight for the neutral.
I don't think its as much fighting spirit as stamina issues. Mayweather called him a front runner and I think some of that holds true, if he fights a guy with a good solid work rate he tends to ebb off, whereas when he fought Spinks they were both quite economical, plus Cory didnt have power, so Zab didn't gas out as much but with guys like Mayweather who throws a lot, and Cotto obviously, he gets outworked and I think his mentality suffers because he doesn't believe he has enough to launch an all out assault.

I think Floyd Snr might be good for him, we'll see next week. Mosley isn't a big puncher but he could outwork Zab

Zab or Naz didnt receive an olympic gold or silver medal!
the boy Audley Harrison from london and my boy David Reid from philly should've done more considering their amateur accomplishments!

Zab Judah seems to loose focus and concentration as the bout goes on. He always seems to be involved in shenanigans that may or may not be his fault. Ie the MASSIVE low blows by Cotto, the low blow on Mayweather, him getting choked by Mayweather's trainer, getting up too early from a knock down in the tszyu fight....

Zab and Panchito Bojado. They put Bojado in too tough early. Im all for him fighting good fighters young, but it was just WAY too fast for him. He still gots skills though.

Kirland Laing, best Roberto Duran and then p*ssed his money up the wall! Waste.

I never heard the full story with John Conteh.

Audley would be a more recent pick for me. Herol Graham could be on the list as well.

Good call with John Conteh. Loved the playboy lifestyle too much to commit to his boxing after he gave up the crown.

Herol Graham wasn't an underachiever IMO. Just a unlucky fighter who was around at a time when there were a lot of great fighters in that division.
