Anyone see the HUGE banner ad they have at the top of the site when you first enter?

    Not for a Marquez/Pacman, Rafa/Vasquez, Mosley/Cotto, Casamayor/Katsidis...

but for Oscar DeLa Hoya and Forbes...

yes I know it is Oscar...but imagine more press for better fights?...blah

At least they actually put Steve Forbes' name on the banner, in fine print at the bottom, but still, that's better than the ridiculous poster for the fight.

I agree, with a DLH fight, wouldn't you think HBO would need to spend LESS on this event than any other boxing event? Any DLH fight is a big deal, and people will watch, especially on regular HBO. It even had its own Countdown show.

We needed these banner ads for Hopkins-Calzaghe, for Winky-Taylor, for the big HBO WCB fights and the PPVs that didn't get enough promotion like Cotto-Mosley and Pac-JMM II. Maybe the HBO brass will think this is a good idea and stick with it, and push other WCB cards like this. That can only be good for the sport.
