            Ali was DESPISED and reviled..

He's loved NOW because he's basically an invalid and can't talk ****..

            Ya'll musta' forgot..

He was OK as long as he was Cassius Clay..but when he changed his name AND DENOUNCED THE WAR and REFUSED TO FIGHT..He became one of the most hated people in america.

"Aint no Vietnamese ever called me a ******"

That didn't win him any friends in white america..

            Hanging-out with Malcome X didn't help either..

He was also VERY CRUEL to his competition..Floyd is MILD by comparison.

            "Liston is a Gorilla"

"Frazier is too ugly to be Champion"

            He called George Chuvally....."the Washerwoman"

EVERYBODY was a BUM in his eyesight..

that is why is loved now, because he stood for something during a tense social atmosphere. comparing floyd to ali is not only an insult to ali, but an insult to boxing and racial and social progresssion. the only thing that Floyd stands for is the all mighty dollar. Ali stood for plenty more than that.

Ali also came through with what he said he would do to his opponents. there was no, "Im gonna SLAUGHTER him, Ima put a BEATIN on him, " and then go in there and potshot and dance. Ali PUNISHED and danced.

Ali didn't punish everybody he fought...

He recieved GIFTS against Norton..don't forget that..

People admire Ali NOW...because he's a trembling invalid..

                      But

Back then he was one hated mofo..

The entire Nation rallied behind Frazier to stomp his ass..

                      As for Floyd

I guess you missed the Hatton fight...and the Corrales fight...and the Judah fight..

Floyd actually ****** with Judah!..And he didn't have a 20lb weight advantage either..
