Is Your Top 5 ATG List Untouchable? Cemented?

    It begs the question.

No matter what Mayweather or Calzaghe do from here, even if they beat everyone in every weight division. They will not enter most peoples P4P top 5 ATG.

My Point : Im not saying these two guys are even ATG material. But im saying is your ATG top 5 list untouchable? Because for a lot of people on here it is. And the fighters in the ATG have all lost, they have all performed poorly at one stage or another, and they are not invincible.

ATG's can only be reflected upon when they retire, so mayweather and calzaghe etc dont get recognition yet.

Yeh theres definetely a case for Mayweather.

But see your reply. Not trying to be harsh mate.

It shows the general consensus. Hes limited. Can't be any better than top 10.

But when we compare him to the greats. E.G SRL, his defence is far better than SRL's. In attack he is not as good thats obvious. But you can compare both fighters and both have distinctive qualities which are better than the other.

NOT.......AT...........ALL. I am one of those people that don't think that the old school was invincible. I know boxing from these days are doing great things themselves and I have to watch them and analyze them because they have as much of a shot at being an ATG as some of the best.

Mine are not set in stone, I'm open to putting a modern era fighter up there but there just hasn't been a fighter to replace any one in my top 5.

SRL is above Floyd based on the fact he has 4 Elite ATG fighters on his record and came out on top in nearly all those Bouts ,and he was a Multiple weight Champion

Floyd had'nt fought an Elite fighter untill he faced Dela Hoya who happened to be 34 years old by that stage ,he is a mutliple weight World Champion but so is Dela Hoya and he has lost 5 times and he is 6 weight World Champion ,Floyd got beaten by J L Castillo in thier 1st fight not a great fighter regardless how much people like to overate him because of the Corrales fights

i agree how can Roy ,PBF , or any modern day fighter crack the top 5 when they avoid the competitive fights ,where as Champions of yester year sought out the best fighters

in fact if Floyd's resume was better he'd be in my top 5-10 all time
