    Fighter with more adaptability?

These two have shown they have incredible powers of adaption, but who does it better?

I vote for Joey C, and I don't even think it's particularly close. I also know that I am going to have a lot of opposition to my viewpoint on this so... I'm sure this will be a good thread!

I wouldn't argue with a vote for either one. The reason I picked Floyd is because he is always thinking and adapting, while Joe compensates more by outworking his opponent.

Workrate didn't stop the Kessler jab/uppercut from landing, nor did it stop the Hopkins's straight right from being 100% on point every time as it was in the early rounds.

I only say Joe cuz while Floyd adapted to Judah, I don't think he adapted to Castillo well at all, its just his skills that kept him in the fight. And in the second fight, Castillo just wasnt as competitive and even he still got some good monents in

But Joe took over those fights in the second half by outworking them. Like I said before, Calzaghe is a very clever fighter and I'm not going to argue with anyone's selection.

I think the second Castillo fight showed adaptability from the beginning. I noticed Floyd was able to spin off the ropes a lot better in the second fight without taking lots of punishment, as he was unable to do in the first fight.

I think Calzaghe's adaptability is just as much defensive as it is offensive. I mean clearly, workrate wouldn't have helped him if Hopkins was still nailing him solidly with that straight right.

Just creating discussion, not outright arguing Scotty!

I dunno about the second Castillo fight, in my opinion I just figured that Floyd looked much better cuz he was healthier and for the fact that Castillo just wasnt fighting smart but you make a good arguement tho.

I will say this I think Golden 24k Johnson is the best adapter, the way he adapted to breathing with air in the beginning of the fight to breathing by suckin the air cells in his blood that was flowing from the broken everything he had after Tony was done was down right legendary
