I cant justify it at all , Hatton would have to earn it and only after Cotto .

I can understand Mayweather fighting Oscar because it was a close fight, and the timeframe for that fight happening again is limited. Oscar is pretty old after all. He also will make Mayweather more money than any other fight he can ever take in the future. Even though Mayweather-Cotto makes more sense, there are at least a few key statements you can point to that can justify the De La Hoya rematch somewhat.

The Hatton fight... I just can't understand a single reason that would make it preferable to a Cotto fight.

Mayweather dominated the fight. Hatton isn't a household name for non-boxing fans. The boost in PPV sales for the Cotto fight would more than make up for the diminished number of fans at the live event.

So let's hear it! If you support this rematch, then come at me with your reasons! I really am interested to hear them, because I would like to believe that there is a reason that this is even talked about at the moment.

The Weebler II can start, claiming that Hatton got robbed and would have kicked Mayweather's ass if it weren't for Joe Cortez.
i already dont like the rematch with delahoya but you have point. it was close fight so another fight is cool. if he fights hatton thou a second time, that i will not understand.

Hatton and Mayweather can both justify. So can their banks. It'll be same result different venue.

Floyd has no reason fighting Hatton again! Just like Calzaghe had no reason fighting Mario Veit again after he TKO'ed him in 1 round! the sport we know and love is almost havin a WWE type smell to it! DLH reminds me of Vince McMahon while the Mayweathers could be the African-American version of the Heart Foundation! Man this **** is ridiculous

lol mayweather-hatton II would be the ******est thing ever, Ricky got ktfo and it isnt worth floyds time to fight him again. Ricky isnt even on the same level as floyd as an athlete, all that weight he puts on between fights, the eating, the drinking, the guy isn't a true athlete. Im not a really big pbf fan, but hes a f***** surgeon in the ring, and I think the only rematch that would be worth his time would be the DLH mayweather II.

On a side note, im not saying id like to see it but I think Cotto-Hatton would be a good match up, has it ever been brought up?
