Absolutely not. Tyson should have been in a padded room or a retirement home when he fought Lewis.

Lennox Lewis is one of the most overrated fighters in HISTORY.

We never got a chance to see him really do his thing with opposition that would show us every square inch. The Klitchsko fight is troubling and should linger over his head for alltime. That's how he wanted it anyway..

No. It just meant Lewis beat the biggest name in the sport.

Lummox was a terrific HW, but the Tyson win is not his "proof of greatness".

I think he could have done it earlier. It's not his fault that the fight happened years later than it should have. By that time, Lennox was maddeningly cautious so I wonder if that changed people's perception of him as a fighter. But he was still a great boxer...so for me, the win over Tyson is proof of his overall greatness as a boxer.

Tyson was past his best, even Lewis said that before the fight even happened. I wouldn't put the Tyson fight in Lewis's top 5 bouts. Fighting Mike was a business decision, and a very lucrative one.

Tyson is one of the most overrated fighters in history. He got dominated by Holyfield twice, ktfo by buster douglas, lewis, williams, MCBRIDE!, jesus..

who did mike beat? hmmm old men, okay a bit melodramatic, but i really dont know which fighters can be considered great on his resume?

Lewis and Holyfield were the two best fighters he fought, he he lost to both of them. Lewis was no spring chicken when they fought either.

Granted, he had speed, power, and was a top notch finisher, but he was too metally weak and was very much a front runner, when the chips were down, so was tyson.

LL was a great fighter, but not because of a victory over a completely shot Iron Mike.

I'm baffled by the poll options........

I mean yes, Mike was shot, but Tyson isn't proof of Lennox's greatness either. If you want proof of Lennox's greatness it lies in names on his record like Klitschko, Tyson, Rahman, Tua, Botha, Grant, Holyfield, Morrison, Briggs, Golota, McCall, and Mercer.

Lennox didn't need Mike to be great, he already was.

Prime Lennox with his mind totally on the game was practically unbeatable.
