PS: One of the most action packed bouts I ever witnessed live took place in my living room on Halloween night 1997 when Rasheim Jefferson , Philadelphia, won a 12 round split decision over Dwayne "Super D" Hairston, Hartford. We moved all the furniture and used kitchen chairs as corner stools

            Iceman,

Great work on this story man I really enjoyed it. I also am a HUGE fan of Archie moore. My favorite qoute from the mongoose was when a reporter once asked him after he first sproated his goatee and mustache if his wife didnt object to the new growth when she kissed him and he replied," A girl doesnt mind going through a little bush to get to a picnic."

LOL, Archie was indeed a very clever man with words. I still look through the letters he sent me....one thing he wrote to me when I was 15 always stands out in my mind.

He said, "Treat your body as a great athlete should for you will have this one until death calls you home."

As he stuffed his face with the fried chicken he "could eat both warm and cold and with a fork and his hands."

You are one lucky guy Mr. Scully to have corresponded with the Goose.

                Great story again..

                Bump for others to enjoy!
