Margarito does not ruin fighters. Cotto beats and disfigures fighters but he doesn't ruin fighters either.

The only fighter that I can think of that consistently ruined fighters was Trinidad.

Those guys he mentioned are not worth mentioning in the 1st place. If you want to make a case for his power of ruining fighters, be honest and say right off the bat that thoseguys were not all that. Why use Escopeta la Rana gomez, or hercules kyvelos who was a weak fighter. Six Heads was already done when he got smoked by mayorga. Cintron lost the 1st time and then got a belt, hardly ruined. Williams beat Margarito in tony's shot to finally breakthrough, tony blew it .

How can you hold this man responsible for not fighting bigger names if for 8+ years this man dominated the Welter division and NOBODY except these so-called "bums" had the cojones to fight him? all the big names ducked and made excuses to not fight this man afraid for their careers to be ruined by the unstoppable force that is Tony Margarito. Tony is good, seen him fight for yrs. The whole point of the thread is to say that Tony ruins fighters, i just pointed out the guys that the thread starter used to make his point. He was the #1 guys for yrs, and yes he didn't get the fight he deserved. Now, that could be a combination of being ducked, bad promotion by Arum, and not fan friendly style. When he finally got his shot to shine, a chance to make his case for being the most feared man on earth, He BLEW IT.

Thats a debate for another thread but you have to agree that he consistently ruined careers. Very few of the ****ers were the same after they fought him.

win or lose one thing is guaranteed and thats that margarito will ruin his opponent. his most recent victims are cintron and williams but the days of a margarito right hand damaging fighters goes back many many years to his days in tijuana.
cintron: has no confidence after being left in a pool of his blood and tears twice
williams: looked like crap in next fight against quintana after feeling margaritos power in the second half of there fight.

Cintron became a world champ after fighting Rito so how was he destroyed? And that’s Ritos only good victory-Cintron PW was sick when he fought tony and still defeated Tony and then moved on, yes he lost his next fight but not cuz of Tony but because of Quintana’s own ability.

gomez: margarito put him into retirement with a one punch first round knockout.

BUM! before fighting Tony his record was 28-10-2 and he had been already KO 5 times!

lujan: never the same after margarito tore his ear off.

He was a BUM before and after fighting Tony. He had loss before and after the Tony fight and he still fighting, winning and losing

santos: was dominated and lost his title in his very next fight after feeling margaritos
power.

BUM, Santos did lost his very next fight but he haven’t lost ever since winning twice by KO. Santos had lost before fighting Tony and was KO before by some other BUM and still Tony lost to HIM

kyvelos: a good undefeated fighter coming up became a bum who couldnt beat journeyman after feeling margaritos power.

Bum before and after Tonys fight most of his opponents had as much losses as wins

lewis: put into retirement by a margarito right hand.

NOT TRUE he fought Tony in 2003 (after being KTFO by Mayorga) and he kept fighting till 2007

Other than the semi-good Cintron, and a lost to PW, Tony haven’t fought NOBODY but bums and this fool still have 5 LOSSES (explain that). The only thing that you see in Tony is that’s he’s Mexican, and that alone won’t make him win the fight!!!!
