      It was a fatality!

Ruby Goldstein had a reputation of stopping fights too early prior to this fight, so that could have affected his judgment. He did make a bad decision though.

Yeah, I know Benny Paret died. I was speaking about the fight between Johannson vs. Machen that "themanchine" posted. I was saying that this fight could have been a fatality too. Go back to the statement that you responded to and check out that KO above the statement. The ref was waaaay late on this fight too.

As far as 1 punch KO's go. Not many can beat Marciano vs Walcott 1 and Robinson vs Fullmer 2.

Although there were some worse ones already mentioned, I would have to say Ruddock vs. Dokes was right up there.

It was a scary KO. Dokes was already out cold and the ropes were holding him up. The ref was coming in to stop it but Ruddock cold ****ed him once more with a left hook.

Dokes actually needed help to start breathing again after that KO.

It looked like walcott was VERY concerned about getting hit. to move straight back like that rather than throwing the jab and getting off the ropes. BOOOOOM!!!!http://youtube.com/watch?v=M9msELiZKyU

I think Fullmer forgot all about Robinson's left hand after taking those two consecutive right hooks to the body before he was dropped by the left. http://youtube.com/watch?v=2jeZIyjxss4

I don't think so because Robinson had said he studied hours of footage of Fullmer's fights and noticed that Fullmer had a bad habit of dropping his right hand on the way in, he timed that left hook to perfection.

A mention should also go to Mike McCallum knocking out Donald Curry with a beautiful left hook.
