    When was Lennox Lewis' prime?

    The one that fought Bruno?

    The one that fought Golota?

The one that fought Holyfield and Grant?

Or the one that fought Rahman II and Tyson?

    I'd say around 1997 or 1998.

Edit: Just to elaborate a little more, I think he was at or near his prime from 1995-2000, I believe he was at his best around 1997-8.

So that would be around the Golota fight. I'd agree with that as Golota whipped Bowe twice and was supposed to have a tough fight with Lennox. But Lewis literally picked him apart so quick I couldn't believe it. He hit him with so many straight punches and it's like he just collapsed.

Yeah, Golota was supposed to be a very tough fight for him. I was also impressed with his performance in the Briggs fight, he was stunned early but came back and broke Briggs down and ultimately knocked him out.

Yeh probs Golota, but his footwork seemed lighter and better in Rahman 2 I reckon. That 2 punche combination was done whilst moving his body into position and a good angle, more than usual for him.

Does it matter when Tye Fields would destroy all of them at the same time...with one punch.

Its the one that fought Holyfield and Golota

Technically 1997-1998, but athletically 1992 when he destroyed Ruddock.

If the 1992 version of Lewis had the technical ability of the steward trained Lewis in the late 90's then he may have retired undefeated.

Lewis Was at his best in the holyfield and grant although he looked impressive in fights throughout his carrer.

Lewis was a great no doubt but Imo he retired just in time to avoid tye fields he would destroy him!

that first fight with Holyfield, to me, was just an amazing performance. nobody ever treated Holyfield the way Lewis did that night. it was just a systematic punching session. I don't think Lewis has ever looked better. Golota was a headcase who always folded when he got hit (and Lewis hits harder than Tyson and Bowe), so I don't think that win was AMAZING. Very good but not amazing given what we know about Golota now. The dominance of Holyfield was just unreal.
