    Diabetic Boxers

I'm a 17 year old diabetic looking into getting into some amateur boxing. I was just wondering about the rules as to allowing a diabetic to box seeing as how it seems to be highly discouraged. So if any of you know the USA boxing rules extensively it would be helpful if you could shed some light on this subject.

I have researched this topic on google extensively and read most of the rules and by-laws of USA boxing and my state althletic commission and it really doesn't say that I can't straight out, but i wanted to talk to someone who has experience. I will try the training and nutrition forums.
