Forgot about him. Given the quality of the fighter and his chin, Nunn's KO over Kalambay is one of the most impressive KOs ever IMO.

Reggie Johnson, Antonio Tarver, Chris Byrd, and Marvin Johnson can be mentioned as well.

Over Whitaker? Not so sure about that.

I do think that Hagler was the more complete fighter, but I dunno about him being greater.

Would you mention them on the same level as Nunn?

        I personally wouldnt.

Except for Chris Byrd, who has accomplished quite a bit for a man his size.

I was just naming other notable southpaws.

As for the comparison, Nunn was a better talent and better in his prime than the others. I actually think at his peak, he'd give quite a few of the ATG middleweights a handful and maybe upset a couple of them.

But in terms of overall accomplishment, I don't see Nunn really standing out from the others.

            Yes!

            I'm learning!

The first two people that came to mind when I saw the thread were Whitaker and Hagler.

I can't seperate those two for #1. They were both so great on so many different levels.

If you ever want an interesting challenge, try listing the top 10 heavyweight southpaws of all time. You might be surprised how low the bar gets (Tye Fields? ).

for all my opinion is worth:

you are learning a lot and fast, and it's remarkable how you watch fights looking at details without bias, and you watch a lot of them. Even when I don't agree with you, it's clear that you call it like you see it, and not to push forward some bull**** agenda.

When I started posting here, I was sure I was going to end up on your ignore list (this is when you still had the offenses and the people who were on ignore for them). It's just good that I have moved up from that.

I just told someone that I thought you were one of the most knowledgable on here by far. Something to strive to become.

Are you American or British? I thought I knew the answer, but I'm not sure.
