i think everybody has that in there mind, thats why there people that can say, " i used to box" and people who can say, "i held the WBC(IBf or WBA) World Title!"

What would you like to be able to say?

All of the time. I used to feel like I was doing all of this hard work and self-denial for no reason at all. You have to have set goals and feel good about what you're doing. I know I used to hate sparring but even when getting beat on I found new things to do and started gaining confidence. It made boxing fun. Stick with it, you're doing it for a reason.

So you mean once you got used to sparring, you stopped hating it, and started loving it?

            Quit, son.
You'll never become good enough to be known.
Why put yourself through all the risks when you know you aren't gonna reap the rewards?
You're gonna get bruised up and ugly and die at a young age.
You get nothing from me, son.

if you lose all your fights and suck at the sport, then quit, but if your doing well and have obvious talent, stick with it.

if you love boxing, then box, but you have to live the life of a boxer and give yourself a chance. That means training each day. Each day will be a small victory.

If you can`t give yourself to boxing, then each day will be a small failure and you will suffer a bigger failure when you fight guys who aren`t bums.

The choice is yours. Its a hard life, not many people have the will to succeed. Many people can live the life for a few months, but they usually give up when they aren`t seeing the progress they think they should be making.

Of course you can box to keep fit and have fun, but if thats the case, you wouldn`t be so emotional about it.

There is a great satisfaction to be had from doing things 100%. It breeds confidence and more motivation.

If you take the slack approach, it will piss you off more than you can ever imagine because the wars aren`t against other boxers, they are against yourself..
