certainly a possibility. I believe Cotto's shorter arms and better speed will be too much for Margarito on the inside, and his boxing skills and jab will be too much from the outside. Margarito just needs to last till late in the fight and keep pressuring hoping to wear Cotto down. Which is certainly a possibilty no doubt. Margarito's got a solid chin and hes a warrior, plus he hits like a mule. This is why its an interesting fight. Im picking Cotto by a late stoppage. I just think he will hit Margarito so much it will wear him down. Did you see how much Cotto landed solidly on Shane Mosley? I never seen anything like that. Cotto hits hard and accurate, body and head, i see him taking Margarito out late, thats my prediction. Im pretty sure the fight will be signed, the boxing world is excited about it so it better!

lol, I was discussing this with friends yesterday, could you imagine if Cotto STOPPED Marg? wow, what a statement..Comment

My guess would be the Cotto Camp..........Arum knows that this is a High Risk, low reward fight for Cotto? Arum has been the "Protection King" for years? De La Hoya, an Arum Project at the time NEVER fought WINKY WRIGHT NOR VERNON FOREST> Arum was afraid of losing his cash cow, just as he is now. should Cotto lose Arum would be hard pressed for finding a new "Star".Comment

They weren't signed last year, Arum just thought he had a deal. If Margarito had breached a contract then he would have been sued for signing to fight Williams. Arum went to court to try and stop that fight, but he never claimed that Margarito had already signed a contract to fight Cotto.Comment

U make no sense. Arum is the promoter for both fighters, and has been trying to get these two in the ring for 2yrs. Arum is the one who wants the fight, so why would he try and "protect" either fighter from one another? My guess would be the Cotto Camp..........Arum knows that this is a High Risk, low reward fight for Cotto? Well said deevel,
Come on guys, this is the only way PBF will come out of his cave, PBF will have no where to run.
If I was Arum, I would place the winner of Cotto/Marg, with Gayweathers mandatory, this way, either he fights for his belt or he loses it..

Cotto signed for the fight last year. The deal is close, but Arum is only meeting with Cotto this week. They have not sat down to discuss the fight since his win over Gomez so how in the world can Cotto sign before hand?Comment

Have u read the WBC rules? LOL. Here, take a look. No wonder Floyd holds on to that title like a life vest in the middle of the Atlantic.
In order to maintain a WBC strap this organization requires their champs to defend at least twice a year in either a voluntary or mandatory defense in any of the following sequences against any of the following challengers: 1.) A consensus top 10 contender; 2.) A champion or top 10 contender OF ANOTHER WEIGHT CLASS (higher or lower) with a majority vote of Board of Governors (I call this one the Dela Hoya/Hatton 'exception' rule because it has given Floyd the position to legitimately fight these guys without entertaining true welters and still retain his strap); 3.) A former or retired world champion with a majority vote of Board of Governors; 4.) Another boxing organizations champion if recognized by the WBC, upon majority vote of Board of Governors. Now, there are other rules in the mix, but the few just listed lay the blueprint to why a fighter can go so long without feeling the pinch of his organization forcing him to defend against top tier fighters in his own divisionComment
