No, listen... It was only a short time ago when he beat Winky and Tarver. I don't think he's showing his age that much.
Do you want me to link the thread where you and I agreed that Hopkins didn't look good against Winky and did in fact show his age? Why are you having such a hard time remembering this?

Look man, you said before the calzaghe fight that Hopkins was 43 years old. EVERYONE used that against him. Now that the fight is over, you want to say that his age had nothing to do with??? lmao, be real with yourself mate. How many 43 year old boxers do you know of were still in their primes?

Hopkins showed his age. His fighting style is completely different then what it used to be, he has to rely on clinching to conserve energy and he looked gassed/fatigued in the later rounds against calzaghe, something that has never once happened before in all of his fights since 1988.

No-one really fights like Hopkins though. He has his own unique style. I'd say the way to beat Calzaghe is to outbox him, but I think it would take a prime RJJ to do that. Still, the fight should be interesting if it happens.

        That's well put.

There are other types as well but that's a good piece. ^

Well, actually it was Robin Reid who drew the blueprint at beating Joey.

It's strange, there was a lot less mentioning of Hops age from his fans pre fight, compared to post fight.

Pre fight there was a lot more, he's an ageless freak, the style suites his age, hence his biggest wins post 40.

Post fight there's a lot more, it's not surprising he lost, he's 43, Joe didn't do well to beat him.

            I'm sure there's a connection there. Wierd.

Agreed. I have absolutely no idea why that could be though.

That robin reid looked cray, I never seen him fight better then he did that night. Though something was clearly wrong with Calzaghe that night because he would have owned reid that night but reid had a great fight that night. Though after the fight was over he said he had no hard feelings about the decision, until reid watched the tape of there fight... Then he was pissed
