Glenn Johnson vs Joe Calzaghe Anyone?

A waste of paper and the WBC knows that. Calzaghe is not about to fight Carl Froch at this stage of his career. The "risk/reward" factor isnt' worth it for Calzaghe.

Believe it or not, I think an exciting fight would be Joe Calzaghe vs Glenn Johnson because they both come forward and throw a lot of punches per round. This would also give Glenn the big payday he deserves after being robbed so many times in his career.

There are bigger names out there for Joe but virtually know one offers a more exciting match up in the light heavyweight division than these two.

Froch has power and is fearless and ****y but holds his hands low and can be caught. That makes for excitement against top competition! Let's get it on.
You know I've actually not seen Carl Froch fight. Is he really that exciting? Perhpas I can find a fight or two of his on YouTube.

Carl is pretty good. VERY unorthodox and good power. My brother first noticed him and started liking him. He told me to watch out for Carl.

          Good post.

Agreed that Joe won't fight the big-mouthed Froch. Also agreed that a fight with Glenn Johnson by Joe C. would be a fight fans feast, though it will of course not happen as Glenn is not a big draw. Too bad as the Road Warrior truly rocks.

Froch is a joke, compared to calzaghe. He'd make froch look ****ter then jeff lacy, Froch is so one dimensional and only really has power not even fast hands.

Carl Froch is a good fighter but way out of Calzaghe's league, too slow, he has power but he'd hardly be able to touch Calzaghe.

Froch ain't touchin Joe C. No way Calzaghe would honor a mandatory contender like Froch when he's got bifg money options. Froch will end up fightin somebody else for the WBC strap.

I think it's almost fact when i say that nobody at SMW stands a chance against Calzaghe.

Joe will probably vacate his titles......with only a handfull of fights left, he isn't going to take any mandatories. There's only the big-money fights such as Johnson/Jones Jr/Tarver route to take.

As for Froch, i believe he could give anybody at SMW problems....even Kessler. Although i doubt he could beat him.

When you're a fan of Froch's like i am.....he is frustrating to watch. It's great for neutrals as he carries enormous power/good chin but lacks speed/skill.

                  Froch/Miranda anybody?

Pointless fight now. I'd like to see Froch vs Kessler for the vacant title.
