Hey i know his father has given him huge shoes to fill and everyne hopes for so much of him...

But he's only 18... Overratted might be too strong for him at this point...

He's an opponent period but will end up getting a big money fight because of careful marketing and fight selections.. I've seen nothing so far to indicate he's legimate yet. How about fighting some real fighters in the top ten instead of the tomato cans he's fed.

you're absolutely right, i've got to see him fight someone who i've actually heard of or seen before he KO's them on PPV.... but EVERYONE just keeps mumbling the same **** "he has no amatuer career"!!, does that give him a free pass to pad his record?? for how many more years? i know he's only like 21 but i'd like to see him possibly fight some one like Jesse Feliciano, maybe?

He is still young and raw, so I'll hold my final judgement on him for a little bit. Seen him fight in numerous occasions, and does not spark an immediate wow response when seeing him fight. Time and next level opponents will determine his fate, would like to see him against Alex Garcia(fought Simms,Rivera) . I would even settle for JC candelo, good fight to measure his progress againsta veteran who can box and has some pop.


I think it is prety accurate statemeat, that most people are not opposed to the Kid, personally.Rather they are opposed to him headlining PPv's when he has not EARNED the right.

Do you know his father? (not sarcasm) His father was bigtime boxer.. had NUMEROUS fights and is an oldtime legend in mexico..

His father had a good punch.. lost to de la hoya because of a BAD cut that he had from training...

The fight got stopped at the end of the 2nd round... The cut from training camp Re-opened from a young oscars JAB... it bloddied his face badly .. i think it was over the left eyebrow...

Ref stopped the fight early and oscar became a bigtime fighter in mexico.. this was a good name for him.
