It has nothing to do with where I come from. I'm telling you straight up as someone in the middle of the HipHop community at the time. Nobody gave a **** about Floyd. Everyone thought it was going to be the return of Zab Judah. Hot 97 all week just like during the Cotto fight had people calling in giving there opinions and everything was in the vein of, "Zabs back that Floyd guy is too pretty" blah blah blah. As far as bringing the HipHop community to the fight - ZAB is the draw. Outside of the HipHop community its a larger mixture than that obviously.

It still didn't do great for what someone of Mayweather's caliber is supposed to be doing.
He was supposed to be up there making great numbers but he wasnt because of two things: His arrogance and his now boring style.

Btw the same people who went to see Zab vs. Kostya Tsyzu were the same people who went to see him fight Floyd.. Floyd was still not the draw and was nobody.

Face it, De La Hoya and GBP made him.. he would be nothing still without DLH.

Mayweather v. Hatton pre-DLH does nothing compared to what it did post.
