Calzaghe is a bad fight for Pavlik.

Calzaghe naturally moves to his right away from Pavlik's right hand and unlike Jermain Taylor Pavlik's jab or left hook is not going to push Calzaghe back to his left into the path of that right hand. Not a good matchup for Pavlik.

why Calzaghe would still move over to avoid the big right hands but he would just do it in the pocket rather than step out of range & move laterally ,Pavlik sells himself with the right hand & he is slow Calzaghe would have huge counter punching opurtunitys

Ia huge Fan of both guys, but more of pavlik. that being said, i see joe beating kelly in any fight regardlss of whether it's brawling, or boxing. to many people expected joe to look his usual self against bhop which was never gonna happen. joe is still the same great fghter he was against kessler.

To be honest i dont think JC needs to box Pavlik. Apart from JT who has Pavlik beat? Is Kessler better than Pavlik on paper? Not much to choose between them.

The fact that JC is favourite against Pavlik shows fighting him might not be worth it because he is expected to beat him.
The good reason for fighting Pavlik is that pavlik beat JT and JT beat Hopkins. So yes it is a good reason. Pavlik and them RJJ and then call it a day i guess.

I don't think it's a good career move for Pavlik to fight Calzaghe. Even though I really want to see this fight anyday over RJJ. Even Dawson over RJJ.
